The hibiscus (all colors and varieties) was the Official Territorial Flower, adopted in the early 1920s. At statehood in 1959, the first state legislature adopted many of Hawaii's symbols as part of the Hawaii Revised Statutes (HRS, state laws). It wasn't until 1988 that the yellow hibiscus, which is native to the islands, was selected to represent Hawai’i. We offer two color combinations in this design. The first combination is made with a yellow flower (Jackfruit Wood) and red flower (Rosewood or Cherry Wood). The second is made with a white flower (Ash Wood) and a red flower (Rosewood or Cherry Wood).
We offer multiple options in this design: wall decor, ornament or magnet. Wall decor is available in sizes medium, large and extra large. It comes in multiple color combinations, we offer combinations with one yellow (jackfruit wood) flower and combinations with a white (ash wood) flower.
*The wood types used for this design vary upon availability and the photos above are examples of the different possible color/wood combinations you may receive. You are welcome to request a particular color combination and we will always try to accommodate your needs.
Each piece of wood is meticulously hand contoured and carefully assembled to create multi-dimensional artwork. The beauty and uniqueness of our artwork comes strictly from the natural colors and grains of various wood types. No staining or painting is involved, only an oil finish is used to ensure the beauty as the wood ages. Wood burning is used for small details such as the scales of a fish or turtle, etc. Each piece of artwork is stamped on the back with our Le Family logo.
*Please note that this is a one-of-a-kind piece of art. The shape and workmanship are exactly as shown here but because of the different grains and shades in the exotic woods employed, there will always be some variation in color.
